Arizona’s Academic Standards for Science require educators to add relevance to learning through phenomena-based instruction. Real-world performance tasks are well suited to meet the educational goals of the Science Standards — they provide opportunities for students to SOLVE PROBLEMS CREATIVELY, THINK CRITICALLY and CREATE SOLUTIONS to real-life situations.
